Anfy is a collection of more than fifty Java applets that can be used to create stunning animated graphics, navigational menus, and other cool effects for your Web pages. You can also create dazzling animated screen savers for your desktop. Anfy is a free download; installation instructions are given in the first lesson if you do not already have it installed.
Graphics guru Michele Wills AKA Eagle will present an series of tutorials written by VU instructors and alumni covering the popular - Lake Effect, Flip Books, Fireworks, Mad Text, Weather, Clock, Zoom and Pan, Water and several other Anfy applets. Spice up your Web site and unleash the power of Java with this versatile toolkit of free applets.
Curriculum: 5 week course, instructor led. No textbook required.
Prerequisites: Your computer must be Java enabled. Also, you will need a web site where you can display class projects, and you must know how to upload your graphics to the Web. In addition, we will use Paint Shop Pro to create images for your Anfy Applets. If you use another graphics program, you don't have to follow the PSP-specific instructions for the image work; but you must have a working knowledge of how to manipulate images and have appropriate software.
