Meditation is an age-old technique of relaxation and self-control. It is used today by millions of people around the world to cope with the stresses of mundane living. We all have stress — it is the natural by-product of worrying about what we do not have, and worrying about holding on to what we do have. Meditation allows us to control the breathing and quiet our physical senses. We can then take the next logical step to balance our emotions and achieve spiritual harmony.
In this course, author Kirit Natu of India explains basic methods of stress management and meditation using conscious breathing and proven relaxation techniques. These methods, once understood, are simple and highly effective. The course also examines using self-analysis to pinpoint sources of stress and steps that can be taken to achieve Moksha or a state of mental peace in daily living.
Curriculum: Four week course. No prerequisites. No textbook required.
