This course takes an indepth look at the art and artists of the Ancient World. The course begins with prehistoric and Ethnographic art and ends with Early Christian and Byzantine Art. Weekly lesson topics will examine the art history of the Egyptians, near Eastern, Aegean, Greek, Etruscian, and Roman. Students will explore the architecture, sculpture, paintings, and other art forms of these regions and delve into their unique histories and cultures. Curriculum: Five week course, self-guided.
