![]() This is the third in a series of courses delving into the psychology of serial murder taught by Dr. Christopher Kurtz at VU. This curriculum unit examines the motives for serial murder and explores the rare phenomenon of the female serial killer. The course also examines the life and crimes of serial killers not discussed in earlier classes. One lesson focuses on the family of a victim, the social response to crime, and elements involved in interviewing convicted murderers based on Dr. Kurtz's own correspondence with several serial killers including Glen Rogers, Randy Kraft and Gary Ray Bowles.
