Christopher Kurtz, whose previous courses on criminal profiling have attracted a global following at VU, opens Part 1 of this new series with a short history of forensics. The class retraces the development of the FBI Crime Lab and explores the tests and techniques used in each unit. Recent cases involving DNA and other cutting edge technologies are also discussed.
