![]() In this follow-up to Introduction to Forensic Science, Dr. Christopher Kurtz focuses on analysis of crime scene evidence. The course will focus on scientific methods of gathering, processing, preserving and analyzing evidence. Students will learn how the microscope can be used to deduce useful clues about a crime and the perpetrator. Dr. Kurtz will also examine methods of forensic toxicology and serology with a focus on preserving blood evidence, analysis of blood spatter patterns, and characteristics of other bodily fluids. Curriculum: Five week course. No textbooks are required, but a suggested reading list is provided for students taking this class for academic or professional credit.
