Login Help for Firefox Users If you are using Firefox as your browser and you are unable to log in to your VU desk, chances are your browser is not allowing server cookies from the VU site, or you may have a "stale" cookie stuck in your brower cache. Follow these simple steps to troubleshoot and correct the problem:
If you find any VU.ORG cookies on the list, highlight them and click
Remove Cookie. Click OK. If
there are no VU.ORG cookies, click OK to close
the dialog.
Optional: While you are in the Exceptions panel, you can instruct Firefox to always allow cookies from VU.ORG to avoid future problems logging in to your VU desk. In the Address of web site field, type VU.ORG. Click on Allow. You should see VU.ORG added to the site list, and you will see "Allow" in the Status column. Click OK to close the Exceptions dialogue. STEP 3: Clearing the Browser Cache
Click OK at the bottom of the Privacy Manager panel to finish. Close all Firefox windows, and completely exit from Firefox with File | Exit. Close all other running applications, and reboot your computer. When you are back online, open Firefox and trying logging in to your VU desk at http://vu.org/mydesk.html you should now be able to reach your desk and classrooms. If you have further questions to continue to have trouble logging in to your VU desk, please contact us. |
