Course Description

Professor Courtenay Raia lectures on science and religion as historical phenomena that have evolved over time. This course examines the earlier mind-set before 1700 when elements were fitted into science that came eventually to be seen as magical. The course also explores how Western cosmologies became disenchanted, and magical traditions transformed into modern mysticisms, as well as political implications of these movements. ~ Leave yourself notes in the cloud!
