Virtual University Press is an independent publisher of quality nonfiction and fiction e-books, paperbacks, and hardcover editions. We also publish collectible editions of the world’s greatest classics, which are often required reading in English, literature and writing courses. Our distribution reaches a global audience through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, PublishDrive, and Google Books. In addition, our titles are available at selected brick-and-mortar bookstores and libraries, and directly through our website. If you are a buyer for a school, university, or library, you can ontain wholesale pricing by locating our book ISBN numbers on your iPage at Ingram Content Group.
We are now developing a series of interactive study guides and workbooks for the world’s greatest classics that provide easy-to-understand chapter summaries, discussion prompts, and chapter quizzes. In addition, online quizzes will be available on our website, enabling learners to memorize, review, and assess their understanding of key points and events in each chapter.
Virtual University Press was inspired by Virtual University, an historic landmark on the World Wide Web. Founded in 1994 (two months before Amazon.com launched!), VU was one of the first 500 sites built on the Web, and the first e-learning community. We pioneered many of the innovations that online learners take for granted today, including virtual testing and classroom discussion forums. We will continue the tradition of sharing knowledge with e-learners and readers worldwide through our publishing endeavor.
Today, we have more than a dozen literature classics in development that we will publish in the coming months. Last fall, we released an Academic Edition and Study Guide/Workbook for Oscar Wilde’s horror classic, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and four of H.P. Lovecraft’s best sci-fi/horror titles, listed on Our Books page, and our virtual classrooms for these titles can be found here.
We look forward to serving your reading needs. Please visit our website often and share our URL https://vu.org/ with others. If you have questions about our titles, ordering, billing, shipping, or other general inquiries, please contact us.
